Tulsidas Khimji first to use "INTTRA"

The 105-year-old Tulsidas Khimji Pvt. Ltd. (TKPL) became the country's first forwarder to use "INTTRA" to provide on-line booking of cargo. The company achieved the credibility when it provided on-line booking to P&O Nedlloyd. "We have embraced INTTRA without compromising on our group tradition", said Mr. Rajen S. Bhatia of TKPL.

INTTRA is promoted by a group of world's leading shipping companies as a common platform to provide on-line booking. Currently, the consortium comprises Maersk Sealand, P&O Nedlloyd, Safmarine, UASC, CMA-CGM, Hapag-Lloyd and MSC.

The whole spectrum of TKPL cargo services — ranging from sea, air to total logistics — has

received a new dimension with the addition of the latest INTTRA on-line booking services. Mr. Bhatia calls it "another milestone in the long history of Tulsidas Khimji".

Mr. Lim said the name "INTTRA" is a combination of several terms. The "INT" is an abbreviation of "International", which represents the extent of INTTRA's worldwide customer reach. The "TRA" is an abbreviation of both "Transportation" and "Trade", two terms that are essential to the driving principles behind INTTRA. The double "TT" in the centre also represents "Track & Trace" the first module offered to public.
