Ltd. (TKPL), and Allcargo Movers (India) Pvt. Ltd., one of the largest NVOCCs, joined hands to provide cost-efficient LCL consolidation services to customers from ICD-Pithampur, Indore. Together, Tulsidas Khimji and Allcargo Movers will offer LCL boxes to over 50 countries around the globe, ex-Indore, Madhya Pradesh—a landlocked state. "Our service will give the LCL customers the benefit of time-definite delivery and cost-effectiveness, making the exports most competitive in the international marketplace", said Mr. Rajen S. Bhatia of Tulsidas Khimji Pvt. Ltd., in an exclusive interview with Exim India. Mr. Bhatia said that Tulsidas Khimji-Allcargo Movers combine started regular movement of LCL cargoes reworked at Dronagiri, JNPT, for onward movement to a wide range of international destinations. "Through Bill of Lading (B/L) will be issued at Indore itself, Mr. Bhatia added. "Our tie-up with Allcargo Movers is in response to a long-standing customer demand. Our association will result in reduced transit time besides considerable savings in freight, which are primary factors leading the export commodities ultimately to global competitiveness". Commenting on the LCL service, Mr. Shashi Kiran Shetty, Managing Director of Allcargo Movers (India) Pvt. Ltd, said, "LCL services are available at almost all inland container depot (ICD) locations, but Indore exporters did not have that facility. Our tie-up with Tulsidas Khimji to offer an LCL service at ICD-Pithampur will be a big benefit to exporters in and around Indore". He added, "Tulsidas Khimji enjoys a 105-year reputation among the trade in India. Allcargo has grown on a very strong foundation of reliability to be a largest NVOCC in the country. Our association will give great opportunity to the exporting community at Indore to forward LCL cargo from Indore to anywhere in the world". The service will offer the significant benefit of saving in cost and time, Mr. Shetty is confident of total safety of the cargo. "Quick customs clearance and no pilferage". He observed, "Indore shippers now have world-class NVOCC/consolidators to ship their LCL cargo to any destination in the world". Asked what are the major provisions of the agreement between Allcargo and TKPL, he said, "basically, TKPL will be our exclusive agent at Indore.
